Mrs. Mary Ball, 82, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verne Plummer, Carthage, after a serious illness of two months. She had resided near Arlington most of her life until going to live with the daughter.
She was born in Rush County, December 22, 1867, a daughter of Drury H. and Martha Kizer Alsman. Her husband, Perry Ball, died several years before her.
The daughter was the only surviving relative.
Funeral services were held at the Thompson Funeral Home, Carthage, on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with Dr. John T. Scull officiating. Burial was in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
