Former Carthage Resident Expires.
Word has been received at Carthage of the death of Mrs. May Siler, 75, former resident of that town, which occurred at Woodlawn, Calif. Monday morning.
The body will be returned to Carthage for services and burial. Services have been set for two o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Thompson Funeral home with the Rev. Murray S. Kenworthy in charge. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery west of Carthage.
A native of Rush county, Mrs. Siler was the daughter of Drury H. And Martha A. Alsman. She had spent practically all her life in Rush county. For a short time she resided in Hancock County and went to California only six years ago. In 1885 she was married to Francis Dubois who died in 1896. Her second husband, William Siler whom she married in 1905 preceded her in death in 1927. She leaves three sons, Luther and Ralph Dubois and William Siler, and Five grandchildren, all of California; one sister Mrs. Mary Ball, and an aunt, Miss Mary Kizer, of Carthage.
