IRISHTOWN - Marie E. Shrader, 79, of 1053 Irishtown Road, New Oxford, died 3:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 1987, at her home.She was born in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve McSherry Hoffman. She is the wife of William E. Shrader.
Mrs. Shrader was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edge Grove, and the Auxiliary of the Irishtown Fire Company.
Surviving also are four sons, Richard A. Shrader, 1079 Irishtown Road, New Oxford; Lawrence J. Shrader, 960 Irishtown Road, New Oxford; Gerald F. Shrader, 25 N. Fourth St., McSherrystown; and Dale P. Shrader, Oakhill Drive, Hanover RD 5; three daughters, Nadine M. Strasbaugh, 11 Oak Drive, Hanover; SuzanL. Wentzel, York; and Joann E. Hemler, Audubon, Pa.; 27 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Baker, South Washington Street, Gettysburg.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, meeting at the Hick's Funeral Home, McSherrystown at 10:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Basilica at 11 a.m. Her pastor, the Rev. Msgr. George W. Rost and her grandson, the Rev. Dwight Shrader, will be celebrants.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
