BENTON - Ina Bain, 95, died Monday evening, Aug. 11, 2008, in Fifth Season Residential Center in Benton.

She was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ransom and Bertha (Barnfield) Phillips.

She married Arlie D. Bain, and he preceded her in death in 1982.

Mrs. Bain was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Benton. She was well known in the area for antique picture frame restoration. She loved to quilt and made hundreds of quilts and was very active in crafting and restoration of antiques.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Nancy Bain of Marion; two granddaughters, Corey Bain of San Francisco and Laurie Bain of Chicago; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her companion and special friend, Dr. Joseph Robert Williams of Benton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Robert L. Shook officiating. Burial will be in Liberty-Ridlin Cemetery in Ewing. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton.

Ina (PHILLIPS) BAIN celebrated her 94th birthday on Wednesday, surrounded by friends and her companion, Robert "Dr. Bob" WILLIAMS, at Fifth Season Residential assisted-living center in Benton. Born Jan. 24, 1913 in Benton, BAIN is the daughter of Ransom and Bertha (BARNFIELD) PHILLIPS; a 1932 graduate of Benton High School; married Arlie BAIN Dec. 1932; the couple has a son Daniel R. BAIN, who will be celebrating his 70th birthday on Monday. Daniel lives in St.
Augustine, FL 6 months out of the year, spending the remainder of the year in Marion. Arlie died March 1982. Ina operated Ina's Antique Shop starting in the 1950s or 1960s.
