Mrs. Hannah Larson, 64, for thirty years a resident of Bagley, passed away at the Clearwater Hospital in Bagley Tuesday morning after an illness of one week.
Mrs. Larson was born in Sweden February 8, 1868. At the age of five years she came to the United States with her parents and they settled in Minnesota. On November 11, 1885 she was united in marriage to Nels Larson and to this union were born ten children, all of whom are living. Mr. and Mrs. came to Bagley 30 years ago. Mr. Larson passed away in 1921.
Mrs. Larson has enjoyed good health in recent years. A week ago while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ehlers at Leonard, she became seriously ill and was taken to the Clearwater Hospital. Her condition did not improve and the end came at 7:30 Tuesday morning.
The ten children who mourn the loss of a devoted mother are: Mrs. E.E. Lewis, Clearbrook; Mrs. George Ash, Chicago; A.C. Larson, Gladstone, Michigan; Lewis Larson, Bagley; Mrs. Fred Ehlers, Leonard; Edwin, Bagley; Mrs. Albert Henderson, Clearbrook; Mrs. E.L. Norstrom, Detroit Lakes; Harold and Orvin, of Bagley. Fifteen grandchildren and a brother, William Swanson, of Washington, also survive.
Funeral services are to be held on Friday at 2 o'clock at the Congregational Church with Rev. Dale of Robbinsdale officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Peterson Funeral Service and interment will be made in the Bagley Cemetery.
Among those who knew Mrs. Larson she had become known as a woman of strong Christian character; patient, self sacrificing and devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed by all and by the church to which she was so faithful. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved sons and daughters, now grown to mature years. Years hence the memory of her unselfish devotion will make them better men and women and her precepts be their guiding star.
