" Graveside services for Darrell Corron, 48, of Anderson will be conducted at 11 a.m Saturday in the Orland Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Corron was a former Chicoan who moved to Anderso two weeks ago. He died of natural causs in his home.
Corron was born April 17, 1938, in Chico to Lewis and Lucille Crron. He was reared in Hamilton City and graduated from Hamilton City High School in 1956.
Corron attended Chico State University and then served in the Navy for three years He returned to Chico, where he worked for Paul Smith International, Bill Byers and Butte Auto. He was employed at Corning Truck and Radiator at the time of his death.
Corron attended the Neighborhood Church.
He was an avid sports fan and a supportd of Hamilton High School Football.
Survivors include his wife Judy of Anderson;six sons, Robert of Anderson, Darren of Chico, Charles Noble of Fort Rucker, Ala., Stanley Hill of Orville, Freddy Boomer of Tustin and Dennis Hill of Chico; four daughter, Malissa of Anderson, Susan Methvin of Dallas, Texas, Susan Gilroy of Orville and Nancy Tolley of Oregon; five sisters, Fanny Mae Peacock of Deer Park, Washington; Charlee McAllister of Bakersfield, Betty Lou Darilek of Rockport, Texas, Sherrell Lewis of Orland, Billye Ruth Fox of Ukiah, a brother Richard of Tracy; and eight grandchildren.
The Rev. A.J. Lidden, associate of personal ministries at Neighborhood Church, will officiate the service.
Casketbearers will be Moe Whitechurch, "Little" Moe Whitechurch, Gib Terrell, Craig Plotts, Emmett Brannon and Scott Bates.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Bruise Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements.
