Harry Graham, son of Thomas J. and Sarah Graham, was born January 8, 1875, near Mt. Sterling, Madison COunty, Ohio. He was one in a family of nine children, five of whom preceded him in death.

In 1880 he came with his parents to Jackson County, KS. One year later the father purchased a farm about six miles south of Soldier. It was here that Harry grew to manhood and chose farming as his occupation.

In 1904 he went to Mitchell County and since that time engaged in wheat farming. In 1916 he lef tthe farm and made his home in Beloit. Wherever he lived Harry was known as an upright citizen, industrious, fair, honest, and honorable. On May 20, 1951, he suffered a stroke and was taken to the Beloit Community Hospital. June 1 he was brought to the Holton Hospital where he passed away July 8, 1951 at the age of 76 years and six months.

He leaves two brothers, Thomas of Holton and Frank of Soldier, one sister, Mrs. Anna Coverdale of Havensville and a number of nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.

FUneral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Padden Funeral Home. Rev. Travis Siever, minister in charge. Burial in the Olive Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers Archie Kroth, Fred Stephenson, Arthur Venneber, Clarence Beightel, Will Porter and Henry Kennedy.
