RICHLAND CENTER - Lina C. Anderson, age 92, formerly of Schmitt Woodland Hills, Richland Center, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility, LaCrosse. She was born on Dec. 28, 1910, in the town of Akan, the ninth child of Chris O. and Oline H. (Sveen) Goplen, who immigrated from Nord Torpa, Nordre Land, Oppland County, Norway. She was baptized and confirmed at Five Points Lutheran Church. She was married to Clifford H. Anderson on June 11, 1938, at Five Points Lutheran Church by Pastor C.M. Horneland. Clifford preceded her in death on March 16, 1995. Survivors include two sons, Paul (Joan Marie Mutch) Anderson of LaCrosse, and Kenneth (Mary Anne Trierweiler) Anderson of New Holstein; a daughter, Lorraine C. Schaut of Surprise, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Susan J. Anderson of Edina, Minn., Linda J. Anderson of Eden Prairie, Minn., Amy Beth Anderson of Freedom, Wendy Jo (Jeff) Shaw of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kevin Jon (Trina Schlude) Anderson of Oshkosh, Brian L. Keller, currently serving in the Army in Iraq, and Daniel A. (Erinn Terry) Keller of Middletown, Conn.; three great-granddaughters, Abbie Gail, Sara Ann and Emily Paige, all of Oshkosh; a brother-in-law, Lee H. Anderson of Prairie du Sac; and a sister-in-law, Bernice (Burris) Anderson of Richland Center. Lina was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Oline Goplen; her brothers and sisters, Ole C., Harold (Luella Hanson), Ivar C., Inga (Adolph Jacobson), Margit (Lee Anderson), Adolph, Simon and Casper (Lucille Bailey); and a son-in-law, Jerry Schaut. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at FIVE POINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, Five Points, with the Rev. Craig Peach officiating. Burial will be in the Five Points Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2003, at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 120 N. Park St., Richland Center, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Pratt Funeral Service will be assisting the family with their arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Five Points Lutheran Church or Schmitt Woodland Hills Retirement Community.
