Mr. Ballard
FAIRFAX - Mr. Japer Walden Ballard, 75, of Fairfax died Thursday evening at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fairfax First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery.
Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Hamby Ballard; two daughters, Mrs.Nancy Lindsey of Newnan, Ga., and Mrs. Billie Harper of Barstow, Calif.; one brother, Ralph Ballard of Fairfax; two sisters, Mrs. Eraboyce Weathers of Wedowee and Mrs. Mary Fances Ingram of Fairfax and four grandchildren.
Mr. Ballard was a native of Randolph County and a member of Fairfax First Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the WestPoint Pepperell Mill Store.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Langdale is handling the arrangements.
