Amanda was the wife of Oliver Grubb. She was the daughter of Charles and Lydia (Huff) Manuel, but her mother died shortly after she was born and Amanda lived in the home of Lydia's twin brother Jacob Huff in 1870. Oliver and Amanda were married in 1889 and had six children. Amanda is said to have been a kind and pleasant person who never had an angry word.
