She married Joseph Edward Anker on Christmas Day 1938 at St. Alban's Church, in the Parish of Great Ilford, by whom she had children:
Bernard George Herbert Anker and Brenda Maureen Anker.
She died at the Braemar Retirement Home, Ipswich and was laid to rest in the new cemetery on 8th September 1999.
Joseph is commemorated on her grave but is actually interred at Pitsea, Essex.
