Ruth Mildred Christy received her elementary and high school education in Klamath Falls, after which she followed a business career and acted as office manager at Superior Troy Laundry. She was Past Guardian of Job's Daughters and a member of Aloha Chapter No. 61, Order of Eastern Star.
Ruth married Charles Priaulx Van Doren Aug. 5, 1927. He was a druggist and photographer in Klamath Falls, he was born in Maquoketa, Iowa to Charles G. and Rosa (Flather) Van Doren.
