Proof that William was adopted is from a Y-12 DNA test in 2004 by Herbert Abrams, a descendant of William, that showed no Abrams matches but multiple Beard and Baird matches. His Y-DNA did not match a descendant of Alexander nor of James, Jr. but they matched each other. His Y-DNA did match a Thomas Algie Abrams, shown on George Carter Abrams' book pg 46 as a descendant of William's 6th son John Abrams b. 1815. I, Herbert Abrams, am descended from William's 1st son Thomas Abrams b. ca 1797 shown on pg 25 of the Abrams book.
My request is to have Mary's 1st marriage and son William shown on her memorial site. On James Abrams' memorial site William should be shown as an adopted son.
