Both are buried in the Old Mount Tabor Cemetery within a few feet of the Old Mount Tabor Methodist Church site. The church was organized in 1820 and built in 1821. Of course the church is no longer, but the rock foundation is still quite visible, measuring 30 x 36 feet as stated in "The Annals of Newberry," page 703. Most likely Alexander and Mary were members of this church, however nothing has been found to substantiate this belief. His place was in northern Newberry County. In 1831 he purchased 89 1/4 acres from his brother James for $400.00. This tract of land joined his own and was on the upper waters of Hunting fork bounded also by lands of David Hume, Amy Shell, and Allen S. Shell,. Alexander's oldest son, Samuel S. Abrams, petitioned the court to administer his father's estate. --Probate Court, Newberry County, box 71, pkg. 183, estate 1829, year 1842.

Above information taken from the book "The Abrams Family Genealogy--1745-1979" by George Carter Abrams, published in 1979 on page 99.
