Albert "Doc" Lee, 78, of 2665 Hillcrest NE, Orangeburg, died Tuesday, Aug 8, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 2pm Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Burial, with military honors, will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
Mr Lee was born July 5, 1922 in Orangeburg, a son of the late William Lee and Eugenia Palmetoo Walton Lee. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, was retired from the US Navy as a senior chief petty officer and was retired as postmaster with the US Postal Service after 20 years of service. He was a Baptist, a 1940 graduate of Orangeburg High School and a 1941 graduate of Orangeburg Business School.
Survivors include his widow: Jessie Clifton Lee or Orangeburg; a daughter and 5 sons. A sister Willie Dempsey of Anderson; and grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1pm Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Hospice of The Regional Medical Center, 1324 Hutto St.. Orangeburg, SC, 29115.
