Born in Orangeburg, he was son of the late Willie Samuel and Eugenia Walton Lee. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Mr Lee was retired special agent with the Internal Revenue service, and presently a tax consultant in criminal investigation. He was a Navy Air Corp veteran of World War II and a member of State Street Baptist Church.
