FUNERAL SERVICES FOR BERNARD GRASS MON.
Bernard Augusta Grass son of Percy and Grace Grass, was born in Holt County Nebraska on March 23, 1920 where he was resided all his life.
Bernard graduated from the Page High School in 1928 and has since been employed as a farm hand in this community.
About two winters ago Bernard was stricken with an attack of influenza, the effects of which he never completely threw off. This along with other complications caused him to seek medical aid about two months ago. He was taken to the O'Neill Hospital where he was treated for about three weeks. At the end of that time his strength had returned enough so he was removed to his home Northwest of Page where he seemingly continued to improve. A turn for the worse was experienced last week on Friday evening June 30 and it was decided to take him to the Norfolk Hospital. Arrangements were made and the journey but he passed away enroute at about 10:30 P. M. o'clock.
Bernard leaves to mourn his passing, his Mother and Father, nine brothers and sisters: Edward, Arthur, Elton, Arnold, Shirley, and Morris of Page; Mrs. Constance Hartford of Chesire, Oregon, Harold of Selfridge Field, Michigan, and Darlene of O'Neill, Nebraska. There also survive two aunts; Corrie Hamilton of Page, and Elsie Hough of Wickersham, Washington; two Uncles, Earl Campbell of Eureka, California, and Otto Olson of Frazee, Minnesota; and his Betrothed, Rosara Snyder of Page.
A host of other relatives and many friends and neighbors join with these in this time of deepest stress.
