Khadra Jane Anderson Cranndy died Thursday, June 10 1999 in American Fork, UT.
Funeral services were held on June 14, 1999 in the Salt River Ward with counselor Leon Merritt conducting. Interment was in the Auburn Cemetery.
She was born April 8, 1910 in Grover to David Anderson and Alice Crawshaw Anderson. She was the second of seven children. She spent her school years at Grover and Star Valley High School.
She married Hyrum Kingston Cranney May 7, 1928 in Paris ID, Two years later the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Khadra was a life-long member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed numerous callings in the church and would reminisce with fondness about them in later years. She was active in DUP as life long member. Throughout her life she was always in service to others.
Khadra and King owned a large ranch in Auburn for many years. Their door was never locked and always open to relatives, friends and strangers alike. She was a second mother to many families and served them all with a mixture of love, patience and discipline.
Khadra was known for her green thumb. She could grow most anything and liked doing many forms of hand work. She was always glad to pass her knowledge on.
In their later years Khadra dn King lived on Papworth Lane just south of Afton. King died Dec 13, 1993.
Kadra is survived by her children, Lavanna Grahm, Afton; Janice Walton, St George UT; H.K. Cranney, Afton; Wesley Cranney, Smithfield UT; Mary Ann Cranshaw American Fork, UT; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and a sister Delpha Hill Ogden, UT.
