Floyd Merle Burdick, 32, of Iowa Park, worked for the KMA oil field company. He was involved in an oil well accident when 100s of pounds of drilling tools fell on him at the W.F. Harmon No. 2 well, north of the Wichita River. He died enroute to a Wichita Falls hospital.
Mr. Burdick had been a resident of Iowa Park for only a short time. He moved to Electra from the Loving community of Young County, Texas.
