Joe Daniel Gennings, 61, of Queen City, TX, died Monday, September 29, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born December 25, 1946, in Atlanta, TX. He was a plumber, was a member of the Texarkana Dart Association, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Gennings; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Ana Breeden and Austin Gennings; five daughters and a son-in-law, Jodi Taylor, Penny and Justin Flores, Samantha Norton, Rebecca Gennings, and April Kirkwood; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Gennings, Harold Gennings, Owen Gennings and Alfred and Lois Gennings; one sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Ronald Stringer; 8 grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held 4 pm Thursday, October 2, 2008, at the Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel, Texas, with Rev. David Richardson officiating.
