Harold Henry Gennings Sr. was born to Malvertie (Hudson) Gennings on February 25, 1940 in Lafayette County, Arkansas. He married Loretta (Lewis) Gennings July 14, 1965 and together they had two children, Suzette Gennings of Atlanta, TX and Harold Henry Gennings Jr. of Atlanta, TX. He was proud of his daughter in law Cherry (Tong) Gennings and his 3 grandchildren, Alex, AJ, and Brandy.
He married Elizabeth (Adams) Gennings on October 14, 1986 together they had no children, in the marriage he gained two step daughters who he loved as his own children, Katherine Renee Hoisington from Randlem, NC and Suzan Michelle Preznell of Salisbury, NC, and 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Summer, Austin, and River.
Harold worked for Plain Dealing Woodyard as a manager for 20 years until he retired. After retirement he went to work for St. Mary water system as system operator for 18 years and retired in August of 2015. His hobbies that he loved included fishing, hunting, and gardening and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Salem Cemetery in Plain Dealing, LA officiated by Elder Terry Manuel.
