Also surviving are one son, James (Colleen) Matarelli of Peoria; two daughters, Carol (Carl) Cox of Northbrook and Diane (Gary) Bussman of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Robert Matarelli of Chicago, and one sister-in-law, Edith Matarelli of Peoria.
Guy was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
He worked in his family operated grocery store in Peoria Heights for 54 years until it closed in 1978.
Guy served in the Army during WWII and flew 40 missions in the South Pacific.
He was a 1934 graduate of Spalding Institute and lifelong member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
