PEORIA - Anita M. Matarelli, 95, of Peoria passed away at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at OSF St. Clare Home in Peoria Heights.
She was born Jan. 3, 1912, in Toluca, Ill., to Adam and Giavanna Bartolomucci Matarelli.
She is survived by two brothers, Guy (Rosetta) Matarelli and Robert Matarelli and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
She operated Matarelli's Grocery Store for 53 years.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, where a funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the Mass at the church. Wright and Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.
