Funeral services for Rozella Mary Roberts, 92, of Coquille, will be held at 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Coquille Assembly of God Church, 457 E. Second, Coquille,OR.
Interment will be at Myrtle Crest Memorial Park. Viewing is from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Amling/Schroeder Funeral Service , Coquille,OR.
She was born Nov. 4, 1907, in Ella, MO. to James H. and Adeline (Clark) )Owen. She died Sept. 12 ,2000 in North Bend,OR.
Rozella married Rasho Roberts in 1926 in Oklahoma. They had eight children. In the early 1950's they lived in Yakima, WA. where she worked at the Del Monte fruit cannery for 20 years. After her husband died in 1987 she moved to Coquille, making her home next to her oldest daughter until moving to Nancy's Care Home in North Bend,OR.
She loved to play table games of all kinds and she was very sharp at them. She was a great lover of music who also enjoyed sewing , quilting, crocheting and other homecrafts. She was a person who never complained about life's ups and downs , she loved the Lord and her church. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Avanelle C. Johnson, Emma Lou E. Bailey and Olla Bell L. Plew, all of Coquille; son, Hershel R. Roberts of Coquille; daughters, Sharon R. Bailey of Morris,OK. Juanita Schmoe & Birtie L. Sires, both of Yakima, WA. sister, Inez Lane of Livermore, CA.; 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter ,Ora Lee; and six of her siblings.
