She moved to Coquille as a young girl. She was married to Elwyn R. “Pete” Plew on January 25, 1952 in Coos Bay. She was a very active member of the Center of Hope Assembly of God Church. She loved quilting, crocheting and camping. She had worked in the kitchen at Coquille schools, volunteered at the County Clerk’s office during election time, volunteered her time for many years at Senior Meals and the Food Bank. Her and Pete also loved to travel and camp and was a member of the Good Sam Club.
Olla Bell is survived by her husband; Elwyn R. “Pete” Plew of Coquille; sons, Darrell Ray Plew and his wife Patty of Winchester Bay; Larry Allen Plew and his wife Roxanne of Grants Pass; daughters, Brenda Johnson and her husband Keith of Coquille and Linda Petersen and her husband Rick of Eagle Point; sisters, Emma Lou Bailey of Austin, TX, Sharon Bailey of Morris, OK, Juanita Schmoe of Yakima, WA and Birtie Sires of Yakima, WA; Brother, Hershel Roberts, of Coquille. Nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Avanelle Johnson and granddaughter Angela Nicole Gregory.
Private burial was in Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens in Coquille.
