Howard E. Bell, 91, of Fort Branch died Sunday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He retired in 1968 from Marathon Oil Company in Robinson, Illinois. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Robinson Masonic Lodge No. 250 A. F. & A. M., Danville Scottish Rite and Evansville Hadi Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Corrine, of the home; three daughters, Georgeann Bell of Los Angeles, California, and Inez Waddle and Alice Metcalf, both of Evansville; a son, Harry Bell of Rockwall, Texas; a sister, Inez Hart of St. Francisville, Illinois; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Short Funeral Home in Mount Carmel, Illinois with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery there. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wegeners Granulomatosis Research.
