She married Herman Blakely April 11, 1915 in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas. They were the parents of sons Dale, Chalmer, Delbert, R L, Harold Wayne and Alton, and a daughter, Cathy. At the time of Versie's death only Dale, R L, Delbert and Chalmer survived. Herman Blakely, a farmer, was the son of William Blakely and Margaret Blair.
