John Herbert Acord, aged 83, of Lamar died Tuesday in the Johnson County
Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a Jehovah Witness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Geneva Acord; five sons, Dennis Acord of Bakersfield, Calif., Harold Acord of Austin, Texas, Roy Acord and Carl Acord, both of Victoria, Texas, and Dan Acord of Lamar; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Nowotny of Hartman; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Davis of Mulberry; 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held ar 3 p.m. Thursday at Shinn Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Wayne Gracey officiating. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery.
Visitation has been set for 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shinn Funeral Home.
