Anna May Michels, 82, died Saturday at People's Memorial Hospital in Independence.
Surviving are her husband, Raphael; five sons, Clement of Hazleton, Norman of Independence, Walter of Phoenix, Ariz., Lyle of Cedar Falls and Ronald of Rockford, IL.; six daughters, Eveline Wengert of Waterloo, Loretta Michels of Phoenix, Ariz., Margaret Jenkins of LaPorte City, Bertha Draper of Phoenix, Ariz., Rosalie Rohde of Fayette and Dorothy Thomas of Winton, Calif.; three brothers, Charles Spragg of Tacoma, Wash., Floyd Spragg of Oelwein and Harley Spragg of Sidney, Iowa; 46 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hazleton. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at White's in Independence, where a wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
