Gertrude Beilke, 93, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, in Neighbors Nursing Home in Byron. She was born January 24, 1911, in Byron, the daughter of Andrew and Sophie Sherfield Reeverts. Gertrude married Phillip H. Beilke on March 22, 1930, in Rockford; he predeceased her April 14, 1988. She was a lifelong Stillman Valley/Byron-area resident. Gertrude and Phillip farmed in the Stillman Valley area for more than 50 years. Survivors include daughters, Betty (Don) Ranken of Stillman Valley and (*)Dorothy of Lindenwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and brother, George (Catherine) of Rockton. Also predeceased by a brother and five sisters.

Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 30, in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Road, Stillman Valley. Service will be private, with Pastor Melany Hamilton of Kishwaukee Community Presbyterian Church, Stillman Valley, officiating. Burial in Kishwaukee Cemetery. Memorials to Kishwaukee Cemetery.
