Stillman Valley – Betty M. Ranken, age 80, of Stillman Valley passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in her daughter's home in Dekalb surrounded by her loving family. Born July 1, 1932 in Stillman Valley the daughter of Phillip and Gertrude (Reeverts) Beilke. She is a 1950 graduate of Stillman Valley High School. She married Donald D. Ranken on July 1, 1950 in Byron, IL; he died on December 20, 2010. Betty was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who had a smile that would light up a room. She enjoyed baking and cooking, animals especially her cats, and flowers.
She is survived by her children, sister, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Betty is predeceased by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday December 28, 2012 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home 136 W. Roosevelt, Stillman Valley with Pastor David Rogula officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rochelle. A memorial fund is established in her name.
