Mrs. Fritz (Hilka M. Bontjes) Beilke, 73, Byron, died Thursday in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Beilke was born June 22, 1902 in Byron, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reeverts. She attended schools in Ogle County. She was a former Steward area and Rochelle resident.

On June 21, 1918 she married John Bontjes who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage with Fritz Beilke on Jan. 17, 1970.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ of Byron, Floyd J. Tilton VFW Post 3878 Ladies Auxiliary, Rochelle, and the Byron Woman's Club.

Surviving are her husband, one son, Andrew of Rochelle; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Johanna) Krahenbuhl of Rockford, Mrs. Cecil (Tillie) Burchett of Rochelle, and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Seebach of Loves Park; two stepsons, Elmer Beilke of Belvidere and Harold Beilke of Rockford; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Alice Piercefield of Byron, Mrs. Elizabeth Beilke, Mrs. Florence Lenstrom and Mrs. Gertrude Beilke, all of rural Stillman Valley, and Mrs. Ruby Nelson of Amboy, and a brother, Ralph Reeverts, of Rockford.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Rainwater, and a grandchild.

Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
