Harry Bruner Means, son of James Douglas and Martha Annis Hascall/Haskell Means, was born 1 Aug 1875 in Monmouth, Illinois.

He married Edith Veleria Swan, 23 Jul 1898. They had 10 children; William, Ruth Elsie, Raymond L., Harry E, Adella A., Frank, Gerald, Eunice, Freddie and Caroline M.

Edith died in 1930, and 7 years later, August 1937, Harry Bruner married Juanita McCullock Means. They had two daughters together, Shirley M. and Janette L.

Harry worked many years as a wheelman at the auto factory in Moline, Illinois and as a laborer for hire during the depression.
