HARDIN-Mrs. Melissa Jane
Peeler, 76, widow of James
Peeler, died Monday evening in
Jersey Community Hospital,
Jerseyville, following a long ill-
ness.
A life-time resident of Calhoun
County, Mrs. Peeler was born
Oct. 16, 1891, to the late Mr. and
Mrs. William Snider.
She is survived by a daughter,
Mrs. Malissa Powell, East Har-
din; two brothers, John and
Theodore Snider, Hardin, and a
sister, Mrs. Flora Dorman,
Wood River. There are six
granchildren and 15 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
Thursday at 2 p.m. in the C. C.
Hanks Funeral Home, Hardin,
with the Rev. Ralph Anderson
officiating. Burial will be in
Hardin Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home
will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
