Gertrude was born on Nov. 9, 1912, in Lastrup, to the late John Sr. and Gertrude (Kubituch) Gross. She helped her father as a clerk in his hardware and grocery store for many years. Gertrude would help her mother with the raising of her siblings.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Victoria "Cora" Gross of Harding, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alex and Alfred (twins), Frank, Herman, Mathew, Rhinehart, Henry and John Jr., sisters, Laura Gross and Agnes DuPont.
