Ben H. Froelich, 80, Route 3, Pierz, formerly of Lastrup, died Saturday at St. Mary's Villa, Pierz.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Pierz, with the Rev. Sylvester Gall officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
He was born March 20, 1906, in Buh Township. He married Elizabeth Boser, Sept. 2, 1930, at St. Johns Catholic Church, Lastrup. He farmed northwest of Lastrup from 1930 until 1975 when he retired and became a resident of Pierz. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pierz.
Mr. Froelich is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Earl P. and Vernon F., both of Pierz; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Melvin died in 1953. Two brothers and five sisters also died earlier.
