The death of Herman Froelich occurred at his farm home 6 miles north of Pierz, Sunday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. Death followed a lingering illness of apoplexy.
Mr. Froelich was born in Schlesien, Germany on October 29, 1854, and was 70 years old when death called him. Mr. Froelich emigrated to this country at the age of 22 years and in January, 1885 he was married to Miss Anna Washbush in this country. Their union was blessed with eleven children, nine of whom are living, they are as follows: Mrs. J. P. Greis of Casselton, N. Dak., Mrs. Joseph Mueller of St. Cloud, Mrs. Michael Donek of Pierz, and Peter, William and Bernard also at home.
Burial service for the deceased was held in St. John's Nepomuk church at Lastrup, Tuesday morning at ten o'clock and interment was made in the village cemetery at that place.
Mr. Froelich was well known having resided in Lastrup for many years.
