She married Francis Marion Thompson about 1898 and was the mother of Lola Bell, William F, Cora B, Flora M, Arlene, and Opal Thompson.

Mrs Paralee Dickson Thompson, 80, died yesterday at 9:15 am at the home of a daughter, Mrs Eddie Harrell, 612 North Third Street, Attalla, following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 am at Beulah Baptist Church, near Albertville, with the Rev J O Forrester officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Collier - Butler Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Wright, Alvin Harper, Luther Prance, Paul Thompson, Kiel Owens and J W Thompson. All personal friends will be honorary pallbearers.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs Eddie Harrell and Mrs Olen Sizemore, both of Attalla, Mrs Reedie House, Mobile, and Mrs John Christian, Cleveland, Ohio; a son W F Thompson, Gadsden; a brother, Harrison Dickson, Chattanooga, Tenn; six sisters, Mrs Artie Hulsey, Cullman, Mrs Pete Brown, Mrs Luther Bittle and Mrs Ida Kirby, all of Fort Payne, Mrs Pearlie Byrd, Rossville, and Mrs Erskine Johnson, Chattanooga, Tenn, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A native of DeKalb County, Mrs Thompson resided most of her life in Marshall County before moving to Attalla some 12 years ago. She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.

The body will remain at Collier - Butler Parlor until 9 am, then be carried to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to services.
