Alan Douglas Hall, 39, a Fort Monroe native, died Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Mr. Hall lived in Hampton until 1971, when he moved to New York. He was assistant manager at Chase Manhattan Bank and was a graduate of Bethel High School, The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and Julliard School of Music.
He was past president of the Organ Players Guild of New York state and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ossining, N.Y. Mr. Hall was also minister of music and organist at the church.
Survived by his parents, Charles R. and Barbara A. Hall of Hampton; a sister, Terry L. Woodard of Hampton; a brother, Charles R. Hall Jr. of Hampton; his maternal grandmother, Lettie G. Wood of Hampton; and his paternal grandmother, Ethel G. Hall of Newport News.
Visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home and at the home of Charles R. Hall in Hampton all other times. Graveside service at noon Saturday in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
