Barbara A. "Jean" Hall passed away on Sunday December 23, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
Mom was born to Frank and Lettie Wood on February 9, 1932 in Lynchburg, VA. They moved to Newport News, VA when Mom was 9 years old along with her two brothers Jack and Frank Jr. They moved across the street from the Hall family and in 1950 she married Charles Robert Hall Sr. Together they raised three children, two boys and one girl. Mom eventually went to work when we were all in school for the Hampton City Schools cafeteria. She would see us off and be home when we came home.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles R. Hall Sr. who passed March 27, 2018 and her son Alan. Mom is survived by her son Charles R. Hall Jr. and wife Janice; daughter Terry L. Kuni and husband Austin; grandchildren Michelle Hall, Aaron and Daniel Woodard, Amy Salotti, Eric Overman; great grandsons Owen and Greyson Salotti, AJ and Rylan Woodard.
A graveside service will be held today 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 27, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park 2551 N. Armistead Ave Hampton, VA 23666. Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and offer words of condolence with the family.
