Together they had five children: Wilhelmina "Minnie", Alvin Gustav Edward, Frieda Carolina Maria, Alfred Bruno Karl, & Richard Sebald.

Beloved husband of Mrs Katherine Ackermann and father of Alfred C Ackermann, Mrs Minnie Wild and Mrs Frieda Gembler, all of San Antonio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four brothers, Henry, Louis, Albert and Robert Ackermann and his half sister Mrs Natalia Bartholomae. He was a native of Germany and residing in this country for 78 years and retired from his farm 3 years ago and resided with his daughter, Mrs Frieda Gembler, 512 S Cherry Street, where he died. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, July 29 at 6 o'clock at the chapel of Riebe Undertaking Company. Services will be conducted by Rev J O Polster of the Friedens Evangelical Church. Interment will be in the Hermann Sons Cemetery.
