Born in Brandenberg, Germany Katherina was the sister of Wilhelmina Jaehnel, wife of Johann Friedrick Carl Ackermann, married on 12/26/1874 in Bexar County. Together they had five children: Wilhelmina "Minnie", Alvin Gustav Edward, Frieda Carolina Maria, Alfred Bruno Karl, & Richard Sebald Ackermann.
Obituary: ACKERMANN: Died Saturday, January 28, 1932, at the residence, 706 S Gevers Street, Mrs Katharina Ackermann, aged 75 years. Beloved mother of Alfred C Ackermann, Mrs Wilhelmina Wild, & Mrs Frieda Gembler; sister of Mrs Wilhelmina Jaehnel. Also survived by five grandchildren. She was a member of the Louise Schuetze Lodge Hermann Sons. Funeral services will be held at the Riebe Undertaking Company chapel Monday afternoon at 4'oclock, by Rev Winifred McDowell. Interment will be made in the Hermann Sons Cemetery.
