Mrs. Harbke was born at Woodburn, Ore., July 9, 1872, and was married to A. F. Harbke at Dayton, Wash., Nov 25, 1891. The couple moved to Juliaetta and in 1895, when the Nez Perce Indian reservation here was opened to settlers, they homesteaded at their present location.
A son, William Harbke, died in 1936 at Peace River, Alta., Canada.
Survivors include her husband at the family home; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Bogner and Mrs. Martin Thompson, both of Nez Perce; Mrs. Henry Braun, Clarkston; and Mrs. Olive Carter, Kaumakani, Hauai, Hawaiian Islands; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Harbke, Seattle; a sister, Mrs. Elva Weeks, Toppenish, Wash.; three brothers, Joe and John Crawford, Orofino; and will Crawford, Peck; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
