Lewis Alby Alger (8th Gen), the oldest son of Orrin and Matilda (Green) Alger, was born 4 Jan 1870 in Potscam, St. Lawrence Co. New York. Lewis married Nora Mae Edwards on 7 Apr 1897. Nora, the daughter of William James and Ann (Powell) Edwards was born 13 Feb 1877 in Paris Corner, Wisconsin. Lewis and Nora Mae farmed south of Dickens, Iowa. Lewis died on 15 Feb 1948 and was buried in Dickens Cemetery, Dickens, Iowa. Nora died 28 Dec 1966 and was buried alongside her husband. Lewis and Nora had 7 children. They also raised their grandson Lowell Gene Alger, son of Loris Jessie Alger & Mary (Mills) Alger.
