Nora Mae Edwards, the daughter of William James and Ann (Powell) Edwards was born 13 Feb 1877 in Paris Corner, Wisconsin. She married 7 Apr 1897 to Lewis Alby Alger, the son of Orrin and Matilda (Green) Alger. Lewis and Nora Mae farmed south of Dickens, Iowa. Lewis died on 15 Feb 1948 and was buried in Dickens Cemetery, Dickens, Iowa. Nora died 28 Dec 1966 and was buried alongside her husband. Lewis and Nora had 7 children. They also raised their grandson Lowell Gene Alger, son of Loris Jessie Alger & Mary (Mills) Alger.
