Buffalo – Robert H. Petty, 71, of Rt. 1, Hwy. 215, died Apr. 15, 1989, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Union Co., he was the husband Waunet Smith Petty and the son of the late Jack and Mamie Trammell Petty. He was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church. He was member of the American Legion, an Air Force veteran of World War 11, and was retired from The Life Insurance Co. of Virginia. Also surviving are one son, Michael Robert Petty of Honea Path; one sister, Virgie Youngblood of Buffalo; four brothers, Wade H. and Clarence Petty of Buffalo, William "Bill" Petty of Greenville and Boyd Petty of Union; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held at SD.R. Holcombe Funeral Home from & to 9 tonight. Services will be held tomorrow at Buffalo United Methodist Church by the Revs. Robert Davenport and Herbert Stephens. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
