Anna Christina Shaw, was born to Franz and Hannah Sorenson, April 20, 1896, near Nelson, Nebraska, and passed away September 7, 1979, at Camelia Care Center in Denver at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 18 days.On August 29, 1917, Anna was united in marriage to William Shaw. To this union two children were born. They were married for 53 years ago. William passed away on February 24, 1970.Anna was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Superior. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, one son, Dale who died January 1979, in Marion, Indiana, after a long illness. Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Veva Hansen of Aurora, Colorado, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.Services were held Monday, September 10, 1979, at 10:00 a.m., from The Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior with the Rev. T.M. Hutcheson officiating. "Psalm 90" and "Psalm 23" was sang by Marjorie Hutcheson, Lynn Wilton and Helen Hurd.Pallbearers were Kenneth Hurd, Harold Martin, Orval Childress, Berness Miller, Glen Frerichs and Wayne Adams. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior. Arrangements were made by the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, September 20, 1978; pg. 6
