Robert Shipp

Robert Shipp aged 72 years, an old Federal Soldier and good citizen of Raymondville died Wednesday night at the home of Alf Wilson near Oscar, Mo.

His remains were buried at Shipp or Mahan grave yard near Oscar, Mo. Wednesday at 4 o'clock. The funeral was conducted by the G. A. R. post of Licking of which organized, he was a member.

Robert Shipp, son of Martin Shipp and Lucretia (Burch) Shipp was born January 1832 and died October 5, 1904. His first wife was Anna Emaline Wilson. His second wife was Arminda (Musgrove) Hobson/Shipp. He is buried at the McMahan Cemetery located in Jackson Township, Texas County, Missouri.

Children by lst. wife: Mary Malinda (Shipp) Cummins, and Thomas M. R. Shipp.

Children by 2nd wife: William Tecumseh Sherman Shipp, Anna (Shipp) Sutton, Emma (Shipp) Smallwood, Ida (Shipp) Wilson and Nevada (Shipp) Smallwood.
