R. L. Redifer Dies At Hospital
Robert L. Redifer of Route 1, Albany, died in a local hospital this morning after a long illness. He was 74 years old and had been a resident of Albany for 33 years.
Mr. Redifer was born at Preston, Missouri, Dec 19,1877, and came to Oregon at the age of 16.
His first 25 years in this state were spent in Myrtle Creek and Roseburg, and he came to Albany in 1918.
He was a retired water service man for the Mountain States Power Company. He belonged to the Methodist church and the Royal Order of Moose.
The deceased married Marie Eva Beckman, September 1, 1917 in La Grande, Oregon. She survives her husband who leaves also three sons - W. M. Albany; I.K., Klamath Falls, and Robert J., Portland; three daughters - Mrs. Dortha Lane, and Mrs. Velma Mizner, both of Portland, and Mrs. Wilma McGee, Lebanon; and four grandsons.
He is survived also by three brothers, E.W. Redifer, Myrtle Creek, A.C. Redifer, Curtin, Oregon, and I.V. Redifer, Canyonville, and two sisters- Mrs. J. C. Sumner and Mrs. F.O. Craig, both of Drain.
Funeral services will be announced later by the Fortmiller- Fredericksen funeral home, where arraignments are being made.
