A daughter of William Simmons and Ann Grace, and sister of Annie E. Simmons (1857-1929, Mrs. Daniel Beachum), Rejina Belle Simmons married Hugh Wilson Beachum (1870-1940, son of Jeremiah Washington Beachum & Mary Jane Taylor).

They had ten children, but I only have nine names: Martin L. Beachum (1890-1891), Clyde William Beachum (1891-1975, m. Sarah Ruth Stegall), Ila B. Beachum (1894-1894), Ferrell Wilson Beachum (1895-1978, m. Alice Flavia Carpenter), Hester Mercedes Beachum (1897-1972, m. Thomas Vernon Carpenter), Bessie Louise Beachum (1899-1958, never married), Zelma E. Beachum (1900-1987, m. Clyde Lee Tyson), Nezer Hawkins Beachum (1902-1992, m. Sadie Hildreth) and Addie Estelle Beachum (1906-1990, m. Jodie S. Carpenter).

Rejina's tombstone states she died in 1946, but her death certificate is dated 1945. Similarly, the tombstone says she was born in 1865, and the death cert. in 1866.
